Builders League Scholarship Foundation Awards $14,000 in 2026

BLSJ Scholarship Foundation President Robert Washburn announced scholarship awards totaling $14,000 were presented to four students from southern New Jersey who will be matriculating in an accredited, post-secondary school and pursuing a course of study related to real estate and the construction industry.

This year's recipients include Anthony Mazza of Galloway, who plans to study carpentry at the Ideal Institute; Davone McCord of Gloucester City, who is majoring in  Construction Management at Rowan College at Burlington County; John Rinkus of Cape May Court House, who plans to study HVAC at South Jersey Electrical Training; John Thompson IV of Gibbsboro, who is majoring in Construction Management at Rowan College of South Jersey; Bryan Hernandez Cortez of Millville, who is studying Construction Technology with an Electrical Emphasis at Williamson College of the Trades and Erik Hernandez Cortez of Millville, who is studying Construction Technology with a Carpentry Emphasis at Williamson College of the Trades.

The Foundation has also once again funded a $7,500 scholarship in the Builders League of South Jersey's name at Williamson College of the Trades in Media, PA.

Since 1995, the Foundation has awarded more than $267,000 to area students planning for careers within the home building and remodeling industry.
