BLSJ Begins Search for Its Next Executive Vice President

After four decades of dedicated service, leadership, and advocacy for South Jersey’s homebuilding industry, Rick Van Osten has announced his retirement as Executive Vice President of the Builders League of South Jersey, effective December 31, 2027. His decision marks the close of an extraordinary 40‑year career that helped shape the organization’s growth, strengthen its membership, and elevate its role within the region’s housing and development community.

With Rick’s upcoming retirement, the Builders League is officially launching its search for the next Executive Vice President — a rare and significant opportunity. In the League’s 86‑year history, only three individuals have held this position, underscoring both the stability of the organization and the importance of finding a leader who can carry its mission forward.

The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, strong industry knowledge, and a commitment to serving BLSJ’s diverse membership of builders, remodelers, suppliers, and professionals. By beginning the search well ahead of Rick’s departure, the League aims to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the high standards of leadership its members expect.
