Seminar: Overview Rehabilitation Subcodes - CANCELED
The intention of the Rehab subcode was to encourage development in the urban areas, by encouraging the revitalization of existing structures. It is the first comprehensive set of code requirements developed for existing buildings, contains all the technical requirements that apply to a rehabilitation project and is a stand-alone subchapter within the Uniform Construction Code (UCC). Graduating from Rutgers University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, his experience includes working as the Code and Industrial Affairs Liaison for Specified Technologies, a Construction Design Manager for Quick Chek Food Stores and a Project Engineer with Hill-Phoenix Refrigeration. Possessing both a building and fire inspector license, Mr. Spais advises members of the association on building code updates and changes. He is responsible for interpreting codes and regulations related to construction as well as providing expert input related to new proposals and revisions. Utilizing his technical skills, the membership is kept informed of key items impacting residential construction practices from both the state and federal level. Ultimately through his efforts, builders will be able to continue constructing safe, comfortable and durable homes for New Jersey residents.
