NJ Affordable Housing Update
Gov. Phil Murphy signed a package of bills on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 to reform the state’s affordable housing system.
The legislation abolishes the defunct Council on Affordable Housing and is designed to implement the “fourth round” of the affordable housing obligations imposed by the Mount Laurel doctrine with compliance beginning on July 1, 2025.
BLSJ Legal Counsel Richard J. Hoff, Jr., Bisgaier Hoff will provide an update on the 4th round obligations and what to expect going forward in the changing affordable housing landscape.
