HIGH WIND REGIONS WORKSHOP

Workshop Overview
The program will focus on reducing framing costs while complying with structural and energy building codes. The audience will gain an understanding of advanced framing techniques including using wall sheathing for combined shear and uplift and 24 inch spacing of framing members. We also address energy saving framing methods that reduce air infiltration and radiant barrier roof sheathing. The program will include selection and specifying for roof, floor and wall construction and proper specification for nails and staples including overdriven nails in roof and wall sheathing.
Handouts
We will hand out copies of several design documents that the attendees will keep as a reference.
