OSHA - Scaffolding & Fall Protection Requirements Workshop
This Seminar will entail 4 hour work shop regarding the basics of Fall Protection and Scaffolding requirements in construction. This class will discuss the responsibilities and OSHA's citation policy of both the controlling contractor (GC/Owner/Developer) and the subcontractor.
We will review OSHA CFR 29.1926
Subpart L - Scaffolds
o Fall protection requirements specific to scaffolds
o Specific requirements for different types of scaffolding
o Erection and dismantling of scaffolding requirements
o Temporary stair requirements
o Recent trends in OSHA enforcement policies
o Common violations found on a jobsite.
Subpart M - Fall Protection requirements.
o Hierarchy of fall protection requirements.
o Fall protection systems and their requirements as stated by OSHA.
o Requirements when conventional fall protection systems are not feasible.
o Aerial Lifts
o Ladders
This workshop is intended to be interactive and intended to bring a better understanding of OSHA requirements and general safety information. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions, situations, and even pictures for questions.
This program is recommended for both GCs and Subs, project managers, supervisors, foremen, and labor.
