The discussion will focus on recent changes in appraisal standards and practices, ways to improve communication with lenders and appraisers, tips on dealing with appraisals in distressed markets and ways to address appraisal errors, among other subjects. This webinar also counts as one hour of continuing education credit for NAHB professional designations.      

Major changes have occurred in appraisal standards and practices in the wake of housing and financial market turmoil, presenting major challenges to home builders in financing and selling their homes. A panel of home builder and appraisal practitioners will discuss the new appraisal rules and provide advice to help builders improve the accuracy of their home valuations.
