Primary Functions:
Assist the Construction Supervisor in monitoring and maintaining quality construction by regularly inspecting houses from framing to completion, ensuring that subcontractors complete their work accurately and fully.  The Quality Control Coordinator will prepare a pre-title punch-out list and arrange for him/herself or subcontractors to do all work necessary to deliver the house without defect prior to settlement.
 
The Quality Control Coordinator/Pre-Title will complete pre-settlement inspection with a Customer Service Representative, noting and correcting all deficiencies, either personally or by coordinating with subcontractors.  The Quality Control Coordinator/Pre-Title will interface with the Customer Service Department to ensure satisfactory and consistent quality standards and centralized record keeping. In this role you will also work with the Construction Supervisor to note and resolve construction deficiencies. 
 
The Quality Control Coordinator/Pre-Title will represent the Company to home buyers, other employees, contractors, regulators and interested members of the public in a professional, courteous manner consistent with the best interests of the Company and in a manner that assures compliance with building codes and consistently high quality construction.
 
The Construction Supervisor shall be the immediate supervisor to the Quality Control Coordinator/Pre-Title.
 
Typical Duties:

  1. Assist the Construction Supervisor in monitoring completeness and accuracy of work performed by in-house staff and subcontractors.
  2. Assist the Construction Supervisor in maintaining the construction schedule by reporting and noted delays or problems.
  3. Assist with coordinating and tracking certain material deliveries to the construction site.
  4. Order material for pre-title work by preparing purchase orders signed by the Construction Supervisor.
  5. Review purchase orders and invoices of subcontractors and vendors to confirm that materials and services are correctly representative of billing as directed by the Construction Supervisor.
  6. Coordinate the installation of appliances, cabinets, counters, plumbing fixtures, screens and the like in a manner that assures that finishes are protected.
  7. Make all assigned houses ready for acceptance by the purchaser by completing all pre-title punch work, either personally or by coordinating with subcontractors.
  8. Assist the Construction Supervisor in ensuring the timely and accurate completion of final inspections per the construction schedule.
  9. Review the satisfactory completion of each house with the Customer Service Representative prior to pre-settlement homeowner inspections.
  10. Correct all noted deficiencies, either personally or by coordinating with subcontractors.
  11. Assist the Director of Customer Service in facilitating the repair work.
 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum o5 years of construction experience
  • Must possess a general knowledge of construction methods, standards, sequence, and building codes sufficient to inspect the accuracy and completeness of construction work.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • OSHA safety training certification preferred.
