Bisgaier Hoff, LLC attorneys, Jeffrey Newman and James Kozachek will provide a New Jersey Construction Lien Law Update. It is always important to ensure that payment is obtained for work performed. Nevertheless, all too often the payments do not arrive when expected. There are a number of options available to try and collect including filing a construction lien on the property where the work was performed. New Jersey’s Construction Lien Law contains perils for the unwary. This seminar will provide a general overview of the lien law, the procedures and forms used to file the lien and will provide an update on recent cases where courts have been called upon to address lien claim issues. We will also briefly discuss other available options when construction liens are unavailable
